A lot of people are wondering about the “amy whinehouse rehab” song. This part of the lyrics makes you reflect:
I’m tryin to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no
Yes I been black, but when I come back
You wont know, know, know
I don’t ever wanna drink again
I just, ooo, I just need a friend
Im not gonna spend 10 weeks
Have everyone think im on the mend
It’s not just my pride
It’s just til these tears have dried
They’re tryin to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no
Yes I been black, but when I come back,
You wont know, know, know
I think part of the appeal of the amy whinehouse rehab lyrics is the feeling people have about their pride and the question of relationships and friendships. The question I think that is most important is about personal will and intent. What is needed to build your determination to not drink or do drugs. Will this environment be helpful to stop the old pattern?

Celebrity rehab seems to be in the news regularly now. WHY? We think having fame, good looks, success and a wonderful career would be everything we’d want. I guess celebrity rehab shows us that people still have inner struggles despite success. It could be unresolved issues from family life , relationship problems , questions about money, whether one is loved for one’s success or one’s personality etc etc. So let’s learn from Britney and Rob and the others that external conditions don’t make us happy but we need to find inner peace inside of ourselves.
